Jon Walton, CEO        

Jon has over 30 years’ experience in marketing and general management specialising in retail, leisure and destination venues. This includes working across the UK in many towns and cities, France and Belgium as well as launching Hungary’s Biggest Shopping Centre in 2008! Jon’s most recent position was as City Centre Manager for the Plymouth Business Improvement District. 

About joining the team Jon says:  

    “I am delighted to be working in Southampton as your Chief Executive, the city has a huge amount of potential which we believe as a BID we can work with you and key stakeholders to maximise. The City Centre BID area has an incredibly vibrant and varied offer and we will be working very hard to ensure we provide the best possible trading experience possible-it is a challenging role, but one I relish. I am fortunate to have a great team working with me. I look forward to meeting you in the months to come.”

 

 

Nigel Reed, Operations Director    

Nigel brings a wide range of knowledge and skills gained over 35 years in the commercial and public sector including owning his own business, running a business centre and his interest as a previous local and County Councillor in Dorset which provides the good mix that Go Southampton need in this operational role.  

About taking on this role Nigel says:
    “The Go Southampton Business Plan provides some real opportunities over the next 5 years to make a difference in the City Centre and it was this and the enthusiasm of the team behind it that attracted me to the position. This will be challenging but also a real opportunity which I am looking forward to.”   

 

 


Heidi Isa, Marketing & Events Director    

Before joining GO! Southampton, Heidi worked as a Town Centre Manager for 4 towns across the Winchester district, developing new events, creating marketing campaigns and successfully increasing footfall among visitors and locals. She brings with her a wide range of skills and gained through professional experience in international relations, media and business development.


On taking on this challenge Heidi comments:

    “Southampton is a great city with such huge potential that is just waiting to be realised.  I’m thrilled to be part of the team which aims to do just that.  The enthusiasm of the GO! Southampton board is contagious, and being on the team which will deliver their vision is a privilege.”

 

 

Helen Taylor, Company Administrator    

Helen joins us from a background in property, sales and customer service. Her most recent role was at Ceuta Healthcare; where she worked on an award-winning customer service team within the pharmaceutical industry. She also spent many years working as a lettings advisor and branch administrator in the property sector, giving her a wealth of experience in high level contractual administration. 

About taking up her position at GO!, Helen says:

    “I am really excited to be a part of the fantastic team at GO! Southampton. Southampton is a city I have spent much time in and somewhere for which I have a great passion for improving and spreading the message of what a great place it is to visit, live and work.”
