GO! Southampton Champions Diversity and Culture with Sponsorship of Major Fall Events

GO! Southampton is proud to announce its sponsorship of a series of events this late summer and early autumn, highlighting the city's diversity, youth, and rich cultural heritage.

Whether it’s supporting the LGBTQI+ community at Pride, empowering young voices at the Emerge Youth Festival, celebrating Black culture with BBAM!, or honouring our city’s musical roots with Music in The City, each event plays a vital role in making Southampton a vibrant and inclusive place to live, work, and visit.

Southampton Pride – 24 & 25 August

Southampton Pride returns to Guildhall Square for an extended two-day celebration across the August bank holiday weekend. Promising an exciting live music and entertainment lineup, it  features performances by Claire Richards, Baga Chipz, Sonia, and many more. As a sponsor, GO! Southampton is thrilled to support this event, which plays a pivotal role in fostering inclusivity and celebrating the LGBTQI+ community in our city.

Emerge Youth Festival – 7 September

A new event developed by Southampton Forward and SoCo Music Project, Emerge Youth Festival is curated by local young people to showcase a variety of up-and-coming local bands, musicians, soloists and DJs across two stages in Hoglands Park. In addition to the music, local traders and various activities will fill the day for families and young people to enjoy. Read more here. 

Black Businesses, Art, and Music Festival – 28 September

The BBAM! Festival returns to Guildhall Square for its second year, organised by The United Voice of African Association (TUVAA). The event will highlight the contributions of Southampton’s Black community through stalls, entertainment, and guest speakers, celebrating local Black businesses, musicians, and artists. Music in The City – 28 & 29 September

The much-loved Music in The City festival has an expanded program this year, with over 1500 musicians, 300 performances in 55 venues across two days. The event will draw thousands of visitors to experience some of the city’s unique and quirky venues, from classic pubs and bars to historic sites and even ferries. Music in The City celebrates the city’s thriving music scene.
